8MM Show Flyer

Technically, the information on this flyer is on the down-low until the ‘official’ show announcement tomorrow. Consider it a special gift from me to you, for stopping by my little corner of the intarwebs today.

This particular flyer won’t be printed (the one that will be will be posted here shortly). But I wanted to get it into my portfolio, ’cause it does look cool.

See you there?

Snakes On A Babe

Client: Gorilla Nation
Role: Graphic Designer / Flash Developer
When: 2006

I did this in one day. The idea was silly- maybe even dumb- but sometimes, those are the best kinds of ideas. I was working on location at Gorilla Nation at the time, and we came up with the concept during a brainstorm session with the sales team, who were pitching ideas to promote the would-be cult classic film Snakes On A Plane, starring Samuel L. Jackson.

It was a huge hit- G4 talked about it on their Attack Of The Show TV program, and it was featured as an outstanding campaign in a Gorilla Nation company profile published in the July 2007 issue of Business 2.0 magazine.

I maintain several sites on the WordPress platform that require a robust delivery system for streaming audio and Flash video, hosted locally for full monetization. Rather than lock myself in a proverbial basement and build it from the ground up (as I might have done a few years ago), I found the best open-source product and joined the development team as a volunteer contributor.
